SELBY

Embracing the weird and wonderful has always been at the core of Rhi Dancey and the cheery collab with Selby is no exception!

Oozing with character, both the long sleeve mesh top and sleeveless towel vest mimic the textural aspect of the artist’s tufted wonders.

For many, a year of on-and-off lockdowns shifted our relationship with our homes and the comfort they provide — including Selby herself. Inspired by mundane life, the artist has used this time to continue exploring how objects in a domestic space, such as tufted rugs and wall hangings, can change how a room feels.

When Selby isn’t pushing boundaries by developing the humble rug into a functional cat chair, she also enjoys cuddling the small furry animals that influence her practice.

The artist’s excitement for the everyday knows no boundaries and even goes as far as promoting her love for baked beans. Therefore, while the label ‘crazy cat lady’ may spring to mind, those close to Selby simply know her as ‘Bean Queen’.
